I was thinking the same thing. He's better than half the rappers listed there.
Among the rappers listed I don't know whether to go with Biggie or Chuck D. I guess if it's for smoothness and technical skill, I'd vote for Biggie. But I love the down-to-earthness and sincerity of Chuck D. Very few rappers have had anything intelligent to say. It's been more about the rhymes, self-boasting, and to some degree whining about how hard someone had it living in the ghetto. Chuck D and KRS 1 have always been sraight-up no bullshit rappers that have had something positive and constructive to say.
Decided! I am going to vote for Chuck D. |

| Living in Seoul has made me hate anything resembling Hip-hop for ever. I've always been a fairweather friend, but no longer. I'm so sick of it, with the possible exception of NWA. On my MP3-player, there are the Rolling Stones, The Damned, Death Metal, Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Bob Marley....pretty much anything except Rap or Hip-hop, or anything involving the kind of characters in the OP. |
