Okay, what's the joke with this one?

Rather than have the creator explain, I'd like to hear what other posters think is funny about this one. The first one I smiled at. This one I'm just thinking "so?" Lots of side dishes. Takes a long time for the main dish to arrive. Mm hm. That's it?

Wasted a great set-up with the juxtaposition of the restaurant sign and a frolicking dog.

Damn JG, you really want to tear apart anyone who laughs at themselves and Korea, huh? The joke is funny as many of us have experienced the oddness of ordering one small thing as a quick meal then having mountains of side dishes come out that we rarely touch. I suppose when you analyze it, it is not that funny- but the same goes for The Far Side, Garfield, and especially Peanuts. Its just a comic strip.

We're probably all use to it by now, but from the outside it is pretty ridiculous how one can end up with so many useless, unappealing side dishes when all one wants is a simple meal. Admittedly, this cartoon could have gone a lot further. He could have tried to order a meal for two and been refused because he's by himself, and then there's the whole potential bosintang misunderstanding.

I think you misapprehended the tone and... the intent of my post. Oh well, that happens. I hope the OP didn't, and I look forward to his next creation.

I'm not quite sure what the joke was...

either A) it's a boshintan restaurant and waygooking man doesn't realize this or B) it's just that there are too many side dishes?

why does he say "adjuma bimbimbap when why?"

It doesn't really make any sense...and by that I mean not making sense in the not so good way. I liked the first one a bit though.
