BOA (11 years old) and Westlife (probably about 40 years old) have got together to perform, "Flying Without Wings".
It's original title was, "Singing Without Talent", but that made BOA and the three gay members of Westlife cry. So it was changed.
I warn you. It's bad. Very bad. |

Uh how could anyone enjoy that? Granted BOA is a very hot muffin but in that video...I had to turn it off after about 30 seconds. The guy needs to get a day job! |

yeah, i listened to it twice.
her first four lines were all solo and she nailed the "wings" at the end of it, showing her vocal talent (up to the 52 sec. mark it's good! - though her pronunciation of "special" was efl )
but after that her voice was lost under the westlife guys
and in fact it hurt to hear them sing together (from 1 min, 20 sec. onward) because her voice and their voice just didn't mesh together! (and one of those westlife guys is definitely awful)
it would have been much better if they simply alternated verses
together they sound bad, each could have done better by themselves imo.
i like BoA's voice and her constant positive energy (almost always smiling - except in that video not much, but usually)
westlife are popular anywhere? i assumed they were one of those no-name waygook bands that are legends in korea, like michael loves to rock or whatever.

For better or worse, they are, or at least were, phenominally popular around much of the world, particularly with the very hip 8 to 12 set... |

Deary me.
Some girl middle school students today simply couldn't understand how I could possibly hate Westlife.
It's a different world, I tell thee!
When I was their age I was listening to Cypress Hill, Nirvana, Techno and The Clash! |

hey now stop knocking Westlife, they ain't all that bad and the lead singer Shane is really a pretty decent singer, plus he's gorgeous , agree about some of the others though, they just don't deserve to be there. Don't know why they bothered recording that with BoA though, twas fine without her. They seen to be pretty popular everywhere except America, seems most Americans I know had never heard of them until they left America. They've got a formula that works for them, I say more power to them |

it's really only teenyboppers who bother buying cds any more and that is pretty much their target market, the more mature audiences who favour other kinds of music tend to download more rather than buy |
