shoot professional portrait or micro shots of flowers (and anything else small) with this professional Nikon 60mm SLR AF(digital or film SLR's) lens. The lens is in perfect working order. Body has scratches - it is from the LA times newspaper.

this sounds strange
first of all, there's no details as to what lens it is which strikes me as strange... model number etc? I mean there are gajillions of lenses out there and no one sound would buy any old lens at this price... or would they...?
secondly... micro? I think the OP means macro lens but it could just be that this is one of Nikon's Micro-Nikkor lenses.... or maybe not...
thirdly... from the LA Times newspaper? I"m not sure why that's mentioned...
so more detail would be good if the OP wants a sale... |

wow, good police work. You caught me red handed.
Basically, I have nothing to do so I list items incorrectly and/or I list items I don't have. Then, I negotiate a selling price and when I meet the buyer to sell the lens - they don't buy it! It's hillarious. I don't mind travelling to meet the buyer because it's so funny to watch them NOT buy my stuff because I listed it incorrectly. Sometimes, I just meet them without any item. Even funnier.
Good thing there are hogwonized english teachers out here to sniff out scam artists like myself. Next time I will sell my items from incorrect manufacturers. I'll list it as a Nikon but really it is a Minolta.. LOL
I've successfully sold lots of stuff before this lens - hockey equipment, hockey skates, camera bags, laptops, etc. Buyers were all happy. I did this to build a good reputation so that I could play these pranks.
Okay enough with the sarcasm. If this guy spent 2 seconds investigating he would have found my lens value on EBAY.com You'll see it resells for $250 or more. This is a micro lens. the micro refers to its special ability to shoot micro-sized items.

As I said in my last posting "it has scratches on the body it was used by the LA times". Anyone who is into photography should know that a lens used by a newspaper is going to get some serious body wear and tear because it is in the field a lot. This info gives the buyer this important info (how much the lens was used prior to this sale).
I have a recommendation for this critic of mine. Stick to a subject you know. You obviously don't know photography. Stick to a subject like hogwons, beer or tv - something so close to you!

your cause, my friend, is to sell the lens. I'm not lazy, or at least, I'm not known for it. There are plenty of people here I'm sure who are less knowledgeable than yourself when it comes to photography. I'm one of them and while I don't know all the details, I do have my own Nikon FM2 and would love to extend my set of lenses. I just need more info to see whether this is suitable for me. I'm far more likely to buy if I have all the info up front. I don't think I'm unique in this, am I?
All the best with the cause... |

actually, your inquiry was relatively okay except you made a claim without checking it on the net - no problem. The other guy posted something suggesting I'm a fraud - so my comments were aimed at him. |
