I just waded into the middle of a KTX protest at Seoul Station. 500 anti-protest police help back about 100 radical protesters. I wanted to give an eye witness account before the whiners complained about excessive police force.
The protesters were throwing garbage bags, hitting the police and threw two cops on the ground. All physical confrontations were instigated by the protesters until the time came to evacuate 2 bus loads of (not sure who).
The police were patient and lenient with the protesters, far more than I could have been.

I saw in the paper today they're now allowing mixed-race Koreans to join the police force, and apparently they're planning to recruit them for the riot police. That should see some pent-up hostility being released.
