Stunning. Human beings are so amazing. I found the passion and dedication represented by that display to be quite moving indeed. Truly, most of us don't reach a tenth of our full potential in life. It's humbling to watch people who have taken something to the limit... |

If that's the best thing you took from the video then you yourself have taken being a knob to the limit... |

Yes it is. Reason being is that the video was lame. Ive seen much better shows with acrobatics than that. |

Auto-erotic stunts can't really be considered acrobatics, jinju |

There might not be a lot of grand Hollywood flash to it, but I think those moves are a lot harder to pull off than most people think.
Beautiful in its simplicity and execution! |

Im sure they arent easy but Ive seen better. There was a crew from China that performed infront of a Hyundai Dept. Store a while back and they did much more exciting stuff than this. |

Just imagine every photo in your online gallery contained quotes along the lines of, "I've see better...."
The video was breath-taking. If you think it's just about an acrobatics display you're missing the bigger picture. Beauty, poise, grace. It's all there in spades.
There were a few times my eyes glazed over watching. I guess I'm "low brow" for not turning my nose up to it. lol

Of course we've all seen better. Didn't you ever heard the expression "there's always someone better"? Your pretentious boredom is so gd suffocating. |
Im supposed to go ga ga over 2nd rate stuff? Ive seen 10 year old kids do better stuff. So what am I supposed to do? Pretend Im uber impressed? The biggest thing I got out of that video was the uber gayness of the host. Shoot me. It was boring. I sat there hoping they would do SOMETHING, as the OP promised it would get better, but nothing really happened and the video ended with me being VERY disappointed.
As far as my photos go, dude, Ive been doing this for a year...in total. Ofcourse youve seen better. Ive seen better too. |

Then I guess you missed my point, which isn't a surprise. That's a skill you really are adept at!
I edited my other post, btw, not that it matters much.
I felt the video was dramatic and beautiful. Of course, there's better acrobatics to be seen. There's better ballet to be seen. Does the existence of higher quality material detract from the greatness of what we see? If I hear a song I like, do I decide to dislike it because I've heard better?

But who REALLY missed the point? The thread is called "incredibly HARD Chinese acrobatics".
2 problems with that. They werent incredibly hard, nor were they really acrobatics. More like ballet on steroids but not really hard acrobatics. Was it beautiful? Thats besides the point. It was advertised as extremely HARD ACROBATICS not incredibly beautiful and graceful ballet. And I was expecting HARD ACROBATICS. Its like saying "this car is super fast, come drive it" and then giving me a Volvo and then complaining I didnt get the point because I was expecting a Ferrari and got a Volvo. "But it was so comfoirtable and so safe, why are you bitching?". Well, Im bitchng because I wanted to drive a Ferrari, not a freaking Volvo. And in this case I wanted to see extremely hard acrobatics not what looked like Swan Lake. Kapish? |
