Korean boss: I want a new program. I have no idea what it should attempt to accomplish. I have no idea what is needed to make it work. I have no intention of investing any money in it. Now, get out there and do your best. I'll start advertising the new program tomorrow so you'd better have a world-class plan ready for implementation the day after tomorrow.

Waygookin post: I want to perform at a world famous location. I have no idea what the script will be. I have no idea who the performers will be. Now, who is interested in booking a flight to Scotland next summer? We'll kill 'em!

And who said ajosshis only come with straight black hair, dark brown eyes and wear glasses?

Ya-ta Boy, are you f'ing high? The Op asked if anybody wanted to get together and workshop a show. This is an EXCELLENT way for theatre people to come together in the massive soul drain that is Korea. They never said "Come with me to Scotland", they never said ANYTHING about work or a hagwon, its a workshop/get together for theatre people. Its also a great way to network for us actor/tech geeks. It is very similar to when I attempted to make a movie in Korea, which unfortunantly died in its conception, but MANY people showed up- so there is a desire for it. Go back to your Keaunu Reeves and Vin Diesel movies.
Anyways, As I'm off to Indonesia in a few weeks, I can't get involved, BUT all you people who IM me wanting to make a movie- GO! This is your chance to network people! Make a movie, start an indie film movement in Korea.

That depends on whether you count a couple of shots of soju as a drug or not.

My question for you: Do you always wear your ajosshi hat or do you only pull it out for Sat. night?

You did read this didn't you: [/quote]Actors needed to workshop a new show going to the Edinburgh Fringe

I have to ask...Are you doing your Mickey Rooney or Judy Garland impression when you say, "Hey kids! Let's put on a show!"?

There is something sweetly endearing when someone says, "Let's go to Asia and bring enlightenment to our little brown brothers."

Let's see if soju matches gin...

1) the show is going to Edinburgh, the workshop is to help the OP and allow actors and other theatre/film enthusiasts to network. THEY are not going to Scotland.

2) Judy Garland is awesome

3) Koreans are yellow, not brown

4) The desire to get together and do theatre is a creative outlet that has NOTHING to do with work or anything of the sort, it is a stress and creative outlet that is so very needed here.

5) If you are not interested, why did you attack the poor OP? (serious question)

so...why are you so angry that this poster is asking for help in a workshop? You MUST have a reason if you took the time to flame a first time poster (reason why I will defend them to the death).

I am a shite actor.

But.

I suspect it might be interesting.

It has my seal of approval, and it will probably beat a kick in the balls by a mule.

Angry?

Hmmm...maybe you should go back to Book 1 of Acting By Number where they show pictures of different emotions. Anger was not the emotion on display.

ok, indignation, fury, spite, malice, or jackassitude? How are those synonyms? I am just wondering why you chose to attack a new poster by accusing them of trying to start a new program for their boss? I mean, really, it has nothing to do with Korean bosses, so why would you suggest such a thing? Why would you be so blatently mean to someone for no reason, man? I'll be honest, as an actor and cartoonist who has had his work $hit upon by people who just felt like complaining for the sake of it, I decided to take offence. I am just curiouys to...why? Disregarding MY inflammatory comments, why did you make yours? Why did you insult this person and try to ruin something before it started?
