LONDON, ENGLAND - A British inventor unveils the world's most fuel-efficient vehicle, a three-wheel TeamGreen car capable of doing 8,000 miles to the gallon.

The 45-year-old inventor, Andy Green, from the University of Bath, built his budget eco-motor for just 2,000, and will be the sole British contender for the title of the world's most fuel-economic car in a global competition being held later this month.

It has taken Mr. Green more than two years to design and build the car, which will be the fourth eco-vehicle he has built. He holds the British record for fuel-efficiency, with 6,603 miles to the gallon in a previouscar.

According to the report, the new vehicle is powered by a single cylinderfour-stroke engine with a capacity of just 35cc and runs with a special management system incorporating fuel injection.

A spokesman for Bath University says, "Andy Green is keeping the spirit of the lone British inventor who takes on the world very much alive."

Watch and learn peeps. That's how an article is posted. No highlights, no bold, no nothing. Let the reader decide if it's interesting or not...don't force bold and underlines down their throats! (ahem, cough cough Igotthisguitar)

yeah, but can you sleep in it?

Someone also told me this, essentially if I can remember how he put it at lunch today,

if instantaneously every vehicle achieved 4 times the mpg than they are currently getting, the U.S. government would have a very difficult time with tax revenue. Each gallon sold today has about 50 cents per gallon tax (federal and state) and the revenue from gasoline will drop to only 25% of today, due to the implied reduction in demand. Tax on gasoline would have to go to $2.00 per gallon so our government would be able to continue spending in the same inefficient manner they do now (whether on defense or other domestic agendas).

On the other hand the price of crude oil would drop from $70 per barrel to $10 per barrel (cost to produce and ship to consuming countries), so price of gasoline would go from about $3.30 per gallon ($2.80 + $0.50 for tax) to about $2.40 per gallon ($0.40 + $2.00 for tax). Of course it wouldn't be quite as bad as that because today you get about 250 miles on a fill up and with the improve mileage you would get about 1000 miles on a fill up.

Now let's not get into the issue about world peace, because no matter what the price of oil is or has been, there is no such thing a world peace. Maybe there was briefly when Noah docked on dry land for and for a few years afterward.

LOLO! I was laughing all the way back to work!
