Once Sven realises his error of calling up Theo Walcott he'll call me up and we'll kick ass.
Seriously though, even though I earlier discounted England from the equation I think we have our best chance for many years to win. That is of course if Rooney and Owen are fit. The midfield has to be one of the three best in the world with Beckham, Gerrard and Lampard. We are finally taking a good goalkeeper to the world cup and John Terry in defence is simply awsome.
Look out Deutchland, here we come |

Pfaff had a terrible perm and the name of a sewing machine. I suppose he could be forgiven for the hairstyle as his era was the 80s..
Don't know if I could say he was better or worse than his rivals (Bats/ Dysseyev/Shilton). I always had Van Brokelen (sp?) pegged as the outstanding late 80s goalkeeper.
I should also have mentioned Eric Gerets for Belgium, a rather sinister and aggressive defender from PSV Eindhoven who boasted that he could break team mate Romario's legs in one tackle. |

| Talking of breaking legs in one tackle, at college we all got told the best ways of doing it, and have been called upon more than once to do it. Unethical, but winning is all that counts sometimes. |
