I'll be heading over to SK in mid June and am wondering if I should bring my sheesha with me or whether I would be able to buy it in SK?
I'm thinking it probably will not be available. What do you guys think? |

Definitely bring it with you! And some extra coals and tobacco. The only places you can get tobacco here charges like $12 for a pack that would cost less than $1 in the mideast. And I've never seen a sheesha for sale here.
PS--to the last poster sheesha is also known as hookah or waterpipe. |

Hi, actually you just pipped me to that job in Wonju but I'll put aside any hard feelings if you let me have a puff on the sheesha (I like apple and grape tobacco).
Seriously, you won't find one in Wonju so bring one over. There are a few Moroccans in Itaewon but I didn't see any sheesha pipes for sale last week when I made a brief visit just to eat a kebab. I am also missing sheesha and all things Middle-Eastern. If you could bring me a nice Middle-Eastern man that would really cheer me up, it's the least you can do. |

hahaha, of course!
when i get there, I'm gonna need lots of sheesha buddies so you're all invited once i get settled
i'm probably gonna buy orange, cantalope (sp?), grape, apple, mint and maybe a few exotics (like coffee or rose) but i should probably have enough to last me a year when i get there. |

Wow! Just seeing the word 'sheesha' on dave's of all places reminds me how much stuff I didn't care for at home, and was at my disposal, is now the only thing I want! |

You might want to think about whether or not you bring your hookah (sp?) with you with the tobacco. Looks like it could be pretty big, and as such, might be best to procure here rather than have it take up space in your suitcases. I don't know, though--are they like pipes, where a used one will be better than a new one.
Definitely bring your own tobacco, though. If that market is anything like cigars here, you're better off bringing it from home--all I can get here are Cuban cigars. Bleh. |

hahaha, yeah... sheesh is where it's at. When I get over to SK, I encourage anyone that wants to come up for some good ole' sheesh sessions.
Cigar_Guy, they come in carry-able cases and come apart so I will probably take it as a carry-on |

hmmm, one quick question... have any of you had experiences with ebay in korea? I'm thinking that I may just order it over ebay from there because it may be a bit of a hassle getting this thing past customs (along with a suitcase full of tobacco), and also if i use it as a carry-on, i may have difficulty bringing another bag with me. |
