Does anybody know anything about this? I assume it's at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 25th but I can't find anything about kick-off time, how much tickets are, how hard tickets will be to get etc. Any help from seasoned footy fans would be appreciated!

Forget it, someone just asked the exact same question lower down the page. And it's on the 23rd not the 25th. An ignominious start indeed to my Dave's posting career...

As for tickets...you can still try...there might be some left!

Are you from Senegal by any chance? That would explain your ingrained desire to watch Korea get whupped by Senegal... Laughing

I'm not from Senegal. I have my red t-shirt and I would love to see Korea do really well in this world cup. But I have a sneaking suspicion that 2002 was a complete fluke and as soon as you take away the home advantage the whole house of cards is going to come tumbling down.

It just migth come crumbling down indeed!!!

I'm just hoping they do reasonably well...like make it to the second round. With their group that is not too far fetched...but it won't be easy.

According to the website I checked (KFA.com) it was Ghana on Tuesday the 23rd at 8:00 and then Bosnia-Herzogovina on Friday the 26th also at 8:00.

I think they will do pretty well and they have played well in other international games they have been in.
I am going to back Korea because Canada is never in and when in Rome...

Go Reds Go!

All the websites say they'll play Senegal on the 23rd, and Ghana next month.

Yeah, the Senegal game is on the 23rd. They play Ghana in Edinburgh as part of their Scottish training camp on June 4th.

I think it will be less the lack of home ground advantage and more the lack of Hiddink that will be thier downfall.

I enjoyed being in Seoul last time, the street corners were crazy parites late into the night, bigger and more crazy after each unbelievable win...

Not this time Im afraid...

I wouldn't be surprised if Senegal wins.

I knew a guy who used to be a pro soccer player in Senegal. He used to play on my university's team with my roommate. I think at one point he was the top scorer in Canada. In any case, he was an amazing player.

Me too. I loved the atmosphere in Korea during the last World Cup. My favourite thing to do was join the masses watching the game on those giant TV screens they set up in the school playgrouds Smile

Good times.

Senegal might have something to prove since it failed to qualify for this year's World Cup. Its top stars, however, will not make the trip to Seoul for the game, including English Premier League-based players El Hadji Diouf, Diomansy Kamara and Henri Camara.

South Korea, however, will have its stars play and have a huge crowd to support the team, thus I have to like the home team's chances.
