I stayed there but only ate the free breakfast buffet. In general, I've not found hotel restaurants in Seoul to be worth the money. |

I went to the Italian restaurant (forgot the name). I thought they were great. Went to Namu at the W last week, and they were so-so. Understaffed, and the bartender can't make a 14,000 won margarita worth a damn. Poor service really bugs me, so I'd have to say we didn't get what we paid for at Namu. |

Walker Hill...used to live near there and frequented the casino a fair bit. Haven't been back since the renovations. Overall, the whole complex is a nice escape, but it is way overpriced.
It is targeted mainly at wealthy Japanese and "New Money" Chinese people whom are both probably the most unsavvy consumers on the face of the planet: "$15 for a Heineken...$10 for garlic bread? They're European you say? We better order them and take pictures! That's sure to impress the neighbours when we get back!"
It's a pricey special occasion kind of place, if you know what I'm saying.... |

There's Pizza Hill, which is near the parking lot. Great view, and they have an outdoor patio. I'm not sure how the prices are there, but the pizza looks decent, and it seems like a really nice atmosphere. Really nice walk down Walker Hill heading towards Achasan Stn., as well- there's a wooden boardwalk, and a new school forest has just been built on Walker Hill. If you've never been to Walker Hill, it's worth it to go over there and have a look around. It's classy, and really beautiful. Great view overlooking the Han, too. Trust me, you will be happy you checked it out. =) |
