You guys are complaining about *beep* Nirvana sogs. As if it matters. What you dont get is that it DOESNT matter. Were they the most consistent group? No. But what they had was what grunge was all about at the beginning. Not slick production value and cinsistency but RAW power, rage, emotion. THATS why it will ALWAYS be Nirvana thats credited for driving grunge to the heights it went to. And thats why they will always be considered greater than Pearl Jam. At the end, even if Vedder was a better singer or wrote more good songs, next to Cobain he is nothing but Paul Anka. No charisma, no presence.

Today, a three year old from my 3rd grade middle school class said he likes Nirvana.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YEAHHHHHHHHHHH.

Now you have write a post that repeats the line:

I just love Radiohead, Pearl Jam, the Beatles and John Coltrane, and I want to make sweet sticky love to Johann Sebastian. Signed, Jinju.

40 million times!

No cutting and pasting either. Chop-chop.

Well, the difference being that liking Nirvana is smart while liking Radiohead is being pretentious.

But only if the 3 year old is in the third grade. Otherwise, it's simply jinju-esque.

Pearl Jam by far. The best thing about Cobain is that he was the inspiration for Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot". For crying out loud, if he was that depressed he could have gotten some Proxac and therapy. What he couldn't afford treatment? Enough people were buying into his music that I think he had the funds to cover the bill.

I suppose the obsession with the dream of being immortalized in the minds of his fans was too much to resist. Creepy...sounds like the mentality of a serial killer. I am empathetic towards suicidal and depressed people. However, there are other options than eating a gun. What a waste.

I wish I wouldve met you
Now its a little late
What you couldve taught me
I couldve saved some face
They think that your early ending
Was all wrong
For the most part theyre right
But look how they all got strong
Thats why I say hey man nice shot
What a good shot man
A man
Has gun
Hey man
Have fun
Nice shot
Now that the smokes gone
And the air is all clear
Those who were right there
Got a new kind of fear
Youd fight and you were right
But they were just to strong
Theyd stick it in your face
And let you smell what they consider wrong
Thats why I say hey man nice, nice shot
What a good shot man
A man
Has gun
Hey man
Have fun
Nice shot
I wish I wouldve met you
I wish I wouldve met you
Id say
Nice shot

Which I already acknowledged. A 3 year old in the 3rd grade of middle school is a genius. The fact that a genius likes Nirvana means that liking Nirvana is smart.

No. A little less stupid than liking Pearl Jam, possibly. They're both over-rated.

Heres the difference. While both may quite possibly be overrated, atleast Nirvana lead the movement instead of riding on coattails of others like Pearl Jam. PJ did nothing exceptional except imitate.

You know what I love about Jinju's arguments? They can never be substantiated, and thus may be more easily ignored.

Still waiting for the 40 million sentences there pearly.

OHHHHH. Eureka!! Is that it? Jinju Jam? You don't like to share the name?

That's OK then. I would be pretty pissed off it was the Flotsam Fighters.

ROCK ON!!

I feel bad now. Cobain isn't known for anything at all. Not even a song for him. Crying or Very sad

Peaarl jam had some of the best, deepest, earthiest lyrics out there. Defined that early 90's era..

Vacate is the word...vengeance has no place on me or her
Cannot find the comfort in this world
Artificial tear...vessel stabbed...next up, volunteers
Vulnerable, wisdom can't adhere...

A truant finds home...and I wish to hold on...
But there's a trapdoor in the sun...immortality...

She once believed...in every story he had to tell...
One day she stiffened...took the other side...
Empty stares...from each corner of a shared prison cell...
One just escapes...one's left inside the well...
And he who forgets...will be destined to remember
