The troops on the border will
1) protect illegal aliens from vigilante groups
2) protect illegal aliens from alien smugglers
3) ensure states provide welfare mandated by federal courts to said groups
The national guard will not enforce laws pertaining to illegal crossing.
Bush Speaking = Bush Lies.
I fully admit my support of Bush all these years was a mistake.
The anti war crowd was right all along. |

Should Bush tell the real reason(s) why he is doing this, and be labeled as a biggot, even more than he already has been?
1) We're tired of illegal immigrants coming here, entering illegally at the same time as protesting for their 'rights'.
2) We are the land of opportunity, but not the land of freely-given opportunity.
3) We are sick and tired of immigrants bringing nothing but trouble and contributing nothing else to the country.
4) All of our goods are being made in China as we speak, so we don't need to pay Pecos Bill from Mexico 50 cents an hour anymore.
5) We are not a lawless land like some places that immigrants are coming from.

Ah, the new America. If you have to pay a bribe as a normal course of business, just imaginee how well the rest of the gov't works.

Mexicans Paid $1.8 B In Bribes: Study
Reuters, May 10, 2006
Mexico City,: Six years after Mexicans kicked out a government seen as corrupt, public graft is still widespread, and people paid an estimated $ 1.8 billion to traffic cops, city hall clerks, garbage collectors and other officials last year, according to a study.
Mexicans paid bribesknown in Mexico as mordidas or little bites10 per cent of the time they dealt with government officials last year, according to a study by the Mexican Chapter of Transparency International.
This included run-ins with police, applying for permits and even having mail delivered, and the group estimated Mexicans paid out about $ 1.8 billion last year.
When Mr Vicente Fox became the President of Mexico in 2000, he ended 71 years of rule by the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, which critics say was riddled with nepotism, theft and other abuses of power. Mexicans had expected Mr Foxs administration to bring a reduction in public corruption.
The rate last year compared to bribery 9 per cent of the time in a 2003 study and 11 per cent in 2001, Transparency Mexico head, Mr Federico Reyes told reporters. No figures were collected before then.

MUNHALL, Pa. -- A sign in a Munhall insurance company's window is creating a stir.
Visible in the window of MDL Insurance on 8th Avenue is a sign that says "Deport Aliens Now."
In response to the sign, someone threw a brick through the window that had "Freedom 4 All" painted on it.
Business owner Dan Lloyd said despite the vandalism, he will keep the sign posted.
"I have my right to free speech. I'm an American," Lloyd said.
Police are investigating. |

I'm telling you...Landmines. Go with the landmines. A big time deterrent. It is about time that the National Guard actually had to do something. Yes, many are deployed and doing time in Iraq but a lot of them just kick back and collect their check. About time they earn it. Man, I'll say this for the A Queda...they are actually helping the US to become more secure...forcing it to change...I guess that is what they wanted but now it is kinda backfiring on them... |
Nothing less than a wall, barbed wire, and machine gunners in lookout towers will do. Mow them down and sort them out later. We're at war, man.
Besides, it may help a flagging Republican party in the all important border sun-belt states. |
