Thanks for responding, both of you.
Yes, I do have the CD's, some of the cards as well, and the guides. And yes the prep is quite out of this world at times. My complaint with English Land is really only the content and it's ability to teach English (yes I know that is MY job) I just mean the structure of the book is ridiculous in comparison with say Domino.
HAHA, this has turned into a pity parade (please, no offence is meant here) for my situation at my Hagwon, and truly I didn't want that. It a total @$% situation, but it is also my choice to continue to stay. I just think that my lack of inspiration is due to the situation, but I also think if I can find inspiration from other people (ie. on here) then I can "deflect" the Hagwon and it's myriad of problems.
The problem I am having is that I am allowed to use other materials as I see fit, BUT, I have to finish each level within a three month period. 25min classes don't give alot of leeway, which means that some of the kiddles are fed up with the book learning (mostly the pubescent teens of course) and find the material ridiculous. So, I am trying to find a way to teach them the material but also provide fun for them for at least 5mins each day.
Hehe, the dream is to get them reinterested in the material enough that I can end my reign as Dictator and become the teacher with the mostest again.
Thanks again for your replies. Everyone on here has been immensely helpful! |
