No. I have nothing to say.

But maybe I do. In 2004, we voted for more of this.

John Kerry was worse than this?

Either:

A) Explain why George W Bush is a swell president and was the right choice in 2004.

or

B) Explain how Kerry would've made things worse. What horrible things would be happening now?

What would be the difference?

I;ll do neither and the NSA can have my ass (as they already have most of America's).

George Bush is NOT an idiot because he was elected president. He would have been just as much an idiot had he not been elected/re-elected.....

The question of Kerry is redundant/speculative. Who cares about the potatoes we could have had , when we got rotten ones......

The question is..............how do we make soup out of such a potato head????? After all, people still need to feed.

I think Ralph Nader would of made a better president. IMO he fights for just causes. He fights for what he believes in not for who gives him the most money.

All the more reason why I support campaign finance reform. This whole thread is a more or less a wouldn't it be nice if... To quote my mom who was a Bush fan, "You couldn't elect a republican as a dogcatcher in this town". His plan to fix the borders is a joke. Where were these guardsmen when Katrina hit. Rolling Eyes

Both would have done more or less the same on most policies.

The big problem is/was the world situation not the president.

The Less Bush talks, the better the President he becomes.

He should have stuck with what he REALLY wanted to do in the early 90s: BASEball commissioner. He cares about baseball, he woulda done better at that.

A small exaggeration, eh?

I get a kick out of Eurolefties talking about "surveillance" and the "NSA" when they have absolutely no idea the powers that their own governments have to snoop.

Just keep pointing away from yourselves. That will make it all better, right?

In America, when the government gets out of line, as it most certainly has as of late, at least some people fight back. Media, academics, activists and Joe Blow all have their say in some way shape or form. When European governments do the same thing, Eurotrash fools say "what about America!?! Look at Bush!?!"

It is a psychosis.

Back to the OP. I don't think Kerry would have been any better. The problem is government in and of itself. Who is running it makes little difference. Governments get away with whatever they deem themselves able to get away with.

What about Clintons legacy. I would rate him as one of the most successful presidents in the last 30 years. I think it matters a great deal who is at the helm. Clinton was certainly way better at projecting the US into the world at large dimplomatically.
