With the release of the Apple Macbook, I thought it worthwhile to post this. I figure current powerbook owners looking to upgrade have 2 or 3 days before the last G4 notebooks vanish from Apple's websites forever. Then within 2 weeks refurbished Macbooks should start popping up below the $900 price-point.

I'm in the market for a 12" G4 PowerBook; any revision as long as the seller has one for 800k won or less.

If so, please post or PM me. Thanks. |

If you dont mind me asking, why are looking for a powerbook when as u say they will be upgraded by the intel jobby in a couple of days?

Also is ur post trying to convince powerbook owners to sell theirs or upgrade or what? Im not sure I understand.. Ive a G4Powerbook but just cos they wont be in the mac website anymore, Ive absulotely no interest in upgrading to the new one... well at least until the software i use becomes available for it |

My needs are light: I don't edit video or game; I code, so the most resource intensive app I use is a text editor and compiler. I had my eye out for the new MacBook but if I can find the right deal I may just get a used G4 to tide me over until the 64-bit merom revision.

No, not trying to convince anyone to do anything; just trying to justify posting this wanted ad. If you read the OP again, you'll see that I alluded not to "powerbook owners" but to "powerbook owners looking to upgrade". Sorry for the confusion. |
