If you want to hear some truly erotic animal noises (farm animals mostly) you have got to meet a Thai woman (or man). They can truly make some "interesting" sounds in the bedroom. Just ask: How does a pig sound? Both comical and somewhat arousing...

Got to love the Thais,

Wow, that site is awesome. Thanks.

Is it just me or are the Korean sounds for most animals very different from the norm?

I've had a rabbit, and the only noise she made was a snuffling sound when she was excited or mad. This Ggang-chung ggang-chung is very mysterious indeed.

But I have personally heard several elephants say "Boop!"

Me too.

Mine didn't even do that.

I don't think that refers to vocal noises.
I think it refers the rabbit's hopping.

Witness the following children's song:

I hope my translation is correct:

Mountain hare, mountain hare, where are you going?
Hippety-hop, hippety-hop, where are you going?

The mountain ridge, the mountain ridge, I am crossing alone.
Plump, juicy, chestnuts, plump, juicy chestnuts I will eat there.

If you're interested, I can also share a song or two about frogs going

The Korean language has quite an assortment of kutesy-kute interjections, not just animal imitations.
They make good material for children's picture books.

Here is the text of a book which I checked out of the library:

This book loses in translation, so please bear with me:

Over and Over, Let's Play with Words

Choo-choo, choo-choo! The train is running.
Bayo, bayo! The baby is sleeping.
Ring, ring! The telephone is ringing.
Whirr, whirr! The ambulance is running.
Cuckoo, cuckoo! The clock is striking.
Sizzle, sizzle! The water is boiling.
Wobble, wobble! The baby is walking.
Gurgle, gurgle! The brook is flowing.
Twinkle, twinkle! The stars are shining.
Pitter patter! The rain is falling.
Here and there and ev'rywhere! The sprouts are budding!
Clang, clang, clang! The bell is ringing.
Chirp, chirp, chirp! The sparrows are singing.
Meow! The cat is mewing.
Squeak, squeak, squeak! The mice are looking for food.
Kock-a-doodle-doo! The rooster is crowing.
Creep, creep! The turtle is crawling.
Hippety-hop! The rabbit is jumping.
Arf, arf, arf! The puppy is frolicking.
Oink, oink, oink! The pig is eating dinner.
Moo! The calf is looking for his mommy.
Growl! The lion is swaggering.
