Just need to share my happiness. Who else thinks that the Edmonton Oilers are rocking the hockey world? I just watched them beat San Jose last night and am so looking forward to the next series. I have been a fan of the Oilers since way back in the Gretzky era and finally have something to cheer about again.
They just squeeked into the playoffs at the number 8 seed and now are a serious contender (you may disagree) for the cup. Dwayne Roloson is solid! Chris Pronger...that guy is hard-core! Ryan Smith...gets his teeth knocked out and comes back and keeps playing. |

Last night after the win.....the whole town got in their cars and drove around waving flags and jerseys and honking their horns.....it was pretty cool.

I'm a bitter Wings fan, and have never been much of an Oilers fan.

At least it's not the Leafs doing the winning though.. |

Spoken like one half of all Windsorites.
I never liked either the Wings nor Leafs so hockey bars in that town were tough to be in sometimes.
(Hockey bars. Man, how I miss those! Windsor has several. Call them sports bars if you want, but I'm talking about those that show hockey first and foremost, regardless in the world series or superbowl was on.) |
