I can't imagine you have spent that much time in a hospital if you believe that. Anyone I know whose been in the hospital for ANY length of time has STILL had pretty monstrous bills esp considering that individuals/families have to hire outside nurses to do the jobs that regular nurses back home do (change sheats, food and such). |
In Korea compared to the US? How much does it cost to go to a doctor in Korea and how much in the US.
The US spends much more on medical care per person.

Care to provide 1?
Cause I can give you one: Inadequate health care for birthing AND expectant mothers.
I mean REALLY joo...at par with Poland and LATVIA???? Don't you find that SHOCKING?
Or is that just a Malthousian paradise you're attempting to sweep away as inconcequencial? |
social problems , drugs, mothers that drink and smoke while they are pregnant.
Many states have free or very low cost prenatal health care programs.
It is much more complicated than you say. |

The US could be highly competitive because it dwarfs most other countries.
It's not bad for it to top competitiveness, but it's also not bad to challenge areas where it's lacking.
Its competitiveness in terms of infant mortality is on a level with Latvia.
Thus leads us to a question of what form of competitiveness is most important.
Hurray for being economically competitive.
What I'd like to see alongside that is competitiveness regarding human rights.
Right now we're as competitive as other countries who send opponents to secret prisons in unspecified countries to be treated in unspecified ways.
I, for one, cannot accept this standard. |

Nowhere,
Again, well said. It is all about priorities and I think a lot of people in good old U.S. of A. have 'em wrong..............and a pity too, good people led by the nose in most cases. So easy for decent people to become complicit.

you have shown a problem , but I would like some info on the causes.
I bet if the US makes it easier to do drug tests less babies will die.
Oh , we have some hard core libertarians who put that first.
Give the government more power to do searches. That will cut down on drugs and crime
Less drugs , less drug use less babies die.
All of a sudden I bet you will demand the govt stay out. Too bad for the babies that you were all concerned about just a short time ago. |
