Anywhere to find tennis courts in Seoul? I know Namsan has them, in fact, wasn't Seoul mayor Lee Myung Bak involved in a scandal at one of them this year?

Anyway, I know Koreans prefer either dirt or concrete, which is fine.

Korea is not normally known hot bed for tennis, besides the affluent older people who play, so that might be a little difficult.

I'm near downtown and don't want to go out too far. My plan is to find and teach a group of Korean kids, in English, after work in the evenings. On rainy days, we'll shoot hoops, play indoor soccer or table tennis.

Perhaps Apgujeong and Kangnam would be doable. I've heard Mokdong has them.

Look around you: most apartment complexes have them.

I guess that you have no Korean friends that you could ask either, which implies that you don't like Koreans and are thus racist. Maybe it's time for you to head back to racist England or conservative America perhaps?

Heh! There's a brilliant answer, my fine sir. Aren't the majority of users of this board foreigners anyway? Are we forgetting the true purpose of this board? Your advice is taken.

Don't know the name of the island, but there's whole bunch of tennis courts on the island in the Han River under the Hanggandaegyo (bridge) just south of ShinYongsan.

Check out some of the universities near you. They often have tennis courts, and they are often unused. You might have to get permission for their use though... especially if you do want to do some teaching.
