I just saw this video http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/29818/Jimmy_Kimmel_Gets_Bitten_By_Snake.html and was totally shocked. By all accounts it looks real, his reaction and the EMTs, etc.

However, there has been a lot of speculation online as to whether or not this was some sort of promo for "Grey's Anatomy" or something, and if the whole thing was a hoax.

I haven't found anything definitive...have you?

Just from watching that video, it looks SO fake! It is set-up way to perfect for it to be real.

1. The snake's head is aimed perfectly at Kimmel for the whole time.

2. They have a clamp and rod that allows the handler perfect control of the snakes head to push towards Kimmel.

3. "It's the biggest one ever" "It is extremely poisonous" (I know these aren't exact quotes) the second before it bites him.

4. Kimmel makes a big thing of standing back, but then leans right into it.

When you add all of these together, I just can't imagine it being real. If this was real, I would be very suprised.

It's a cheap-looking rubber snake. It might fool a few kids, but certainly not this old dog.

That was so totally real! No doubt about it!

That there was a 'doctor' from Grey's Anatomy in the emergency room was purely a coincidence...

Upon closer inspection, it does look rather staged, but still a bit shocking. I didn't watch through the whole thing to see the actor/doctor at the end.

It's okay, they didn't show that part in the video. Wink

But don't you just love it when jimmy stands up and starts pointing at it, and practically sticks his finger in its mouth?
