what do you think of other people sleeping on it?
for example.. u rent out your apartment for a month and the bed is available for someone else to sleep on while you are out.
its okay.. or no way. |

You could cover the mattress with a rubber sheet if you're worried about, um, cooties contaminating it... |

The question is, are you renting out a place with:
a) just one bedroom & one bed?
Or,
b) several bedrooms, each with its own bed?
If it's (a), then you'd better get over any fears. If it's (b), lock your bedroom door. Why would they want to sleep in your bed if there's another available?
As to the basic concept, I don't like the idea of another male sleeping in my bed. But chicks are fine. All kinds. No problem.
Though I'd imagine for women, it's the opposite. |

If I'm in the bed I have no problem with women in there also. 2,3,4...whatever.
Seriously, I don't care. Sheets (double or triple depending on the threat level) can be washed (or thrown out if someone's really concerned). I mean look at my avatar. Does that look like someone who's really concerned? |

they say it's a "bed" but it ain't a bed, it's a mattress on the floor like, back home, some drug addict would use in some downtown scuzzy room for rent
but it's a nice new mattress and very comfortable so i've no major complaints |

I'm not particularly comfortable with people using my toilet much less sleeping on the bed. Are we talking strangers or friends? I can deal with friends....strangers, um, no. I'd throw the yo out and buy a new one. I'd be back to hovering if some strange butt sat on my toilet. |
Yo my butt. Look at you pretending to be one of us poor folk.
This is what Pet Lover's bed really looks like.

My bed is pretty horrendous. I am waiting to be woken in the middle of the night when it falls apart. I moved it across the room recently and parts of it were falling off as it went.
And there is no way in the world Korean bedding can be comfortable. |

You seem to have no problem renting out your free apartment for extra cash.. so I see no reason why you'd have a problem with someone sharing your bed when they'll be going through everything you own... |

Thats what gets me.
Envisioning some other guys splunk and the chick he might have dragged home.. or not.. bed being permantly altered with the dude's DNA in there.
Flip the mattress, double wash the sheets.. but still.
---
I've 'loaned' out my place before.. but usually I put my bed and personal stuff behind a locked door.. and they are free to use the rest of the place. But 'renting' is different than just letting someone use it. So I guess I'd be giving up the bed. |
