I know about World Nomads and things like it, but I wonder what all these people do that travel around to different countries and then stay in there home country too. I'm lookin for a plan that covers me no matter whether I'm in the city of my place of birth or in Europe or Asia... I'm talking about stay for months at a time at home. This seems to be the sticking point here... thanks. |

It all depends on WHERE home is.... If you are a Brit or Canadian, then you have limited coverage globally as long as you are home for 6 months per year or considered a resident at home while you travel. This can be supplemented by travelers emergency insurance that covers medical emergencies and will repatriate you to home in extreme circumstances.
If you are AMERICAN, then you are sh?t-outta-luck. International medical insurance for you is either NOT reliable (pay first and maybe get re-imbursed later) or prohibitively expensive. |
