Since Patchy's Dear Leader seems to be the hot topic on this board right now, us ignorant barbarians should atone for our sins of self-gratification and give Prince Toilet Brush the respect he deserves. So, what punishment befits the dastardly crime of subversive free expression on these boards?

Anyway I chose the 'Over the hedge' option.. anything to get away from patchy!
Actually patchy and co occasionally give some valid information and interesting links to provide a less one-sided view on NK matters. But then they distort and use them to sprout a whole load of BS, and dismiss or refuse to acknowledge any other source of information.
Their usual rethoric is that NK may not be all white the US and *insert conspiracy theory here* do bad things too, so that whitewashes all the rest. Unfortunately the real world is not about bad guys and good guys, it's all shades of (dirty) grey. Naive...

Shit, so there's about 200,000 'criminals' (number subject to heavy discussion, probably higher) hiding out in northwest China. Though stuff, NK must have the wildest crime rate ever. If those criminals are that dangerous I understand better why the officials deny them food and withold foreign medical aid.
And, aaah, the 'zionists'. I lived a good part of my childhood in a mainly jewish neighbourhood, and to date a good part of my best friends are from there. I truly resent them for not letting me into their world domination scheme. |

I'm all for free speech. Say whatever you want to friends and family. But when it is in a public form and comes in the form of hatred, racism and incorrect history -- society has a right to censor. Anything outside of that is alright (like a lot of the religious revisionism, statements of polygamy, abortion / right to life, nationalism etc.......).
You are definitely "patchy" using people like Zundel and Irving to decry the West's lack of free speech. Kooky. I'd love to know how you came to the views you have --- must be some major insecurities.......if you ever have time in your life, I can introduce you to a lot of victims. It would do you a world of good to sit down and listen to their stories. Think about it. Or if you wish, start with Martin Gilbert's purely factual data in his book, "Holocaust".
