That sounds like an intermediate ESL text. |
So it does!
But it's an AMAZING song, and very happy. There's the original, an acoustic, a duet, and an EP version I believe.
It's like "Walking on Sunshine"- it's bouncy and catchy and if you're in love it makes you want to jump out of your seat and dance, and sing along at the top of your lungs.

But I'm sure the Guns n' Roses and Nirvana Crowd would say it's pretty gay.
I can live with that. |

That's a great choice......
For those who don't know their early-80's British pop, The Style Council (TSC) was fronted by the coolest guy in pop, Paul Weller.
Here's their best album. Weller is on the right.
Headstart for Happiness still gives me a lift every time I hear it. |

Ordinary People - John Legend
I'm not one for love songs, but the two I posted get me a bit misty sometimes. |

WOW. Weller fans abound.
Not exactly a love song but Shout to the Top has always gotten me going. |

How about "L.O.V.E." - Nat "King" Cole/Natalie Cole duet ? (It's popular in some Korean commercial I've heard a lot...)
"A Groovy Kind of Love" - Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders (not the tepid cover by Phil Collins...)
"Till There Was You", "I Will", "Here, There, and Everywhere" - Beatles
"Maybe I'm Amazed" - Paul McCartney
"In Your Eyes" - Peter Gabriel
"Because" - Dave Clark Five
"Because" - Beatles (completely different song from DC5's...)
"We've Only Just Begun" - Carpenters (hopefully, the bride's not anorexic) |
