Im sure he's refering to me. Some people do get very defensive when someone knows a lot more than them about a subject they care about.

But I say, if people want to come on a public forum and post brashly ignorant sweeping statements, they have to be big boys and suck it up when they get called out. I don't take people on unless I know what I'm talking about, so, anyone care to get right down to it about guitar chords?

Didn't think so...

The main chord sequence in "Smell Like Teen Spirit" is...

E5, A5, G5, C5

Now go find me that sequence in a Black Sabbath or Beatles tune...

Now I'll be the first to say this whole thing is completely unimportant, but if you wanna call me out, do it properly...

Both bands:

1) Had some excellent tunes.
2) Understatement of the year - blow away anything that'll ever come outta this place.

Voted PJ because even though I was never much into grunge they wrote Do the Evolution which is a kick-ass song and has one of the best video animations/music videos ever made.

I own more PJ albums, but can name more Nirvana tunes off the top of my head. Plus, Nirvana's Unplugged album is such a pleasure even after so many years. It's hard to top that.

the song's in f, not e. the solo's in f minor, there's a leading chord(G5) before the Ab5, and cobain claimed the song was a pixies ripoff.
