Anyone know of a good one (indoor preferable)?

Thanks to Google I've found a few locations, but would appreciate some first hand experience.

Any advice on who has:
- good routes + bouldering?
- good holds and wall texture?
- good safety practices with top ropes/bolts/etc,
- mega busy or nice 'n' chilled?
- and of course: cost!

Thanks!

(Mods: sorry if this should be in 'off-topic'...)

I have no idea how much it costs, or even if its good, but I saw a big climbing wall last week in Boramae Park....

Happy hunting.

there's one on the right of the road between Seoul Station and the river that goes past Shin Yongsan. I think it's around Huam junction.

There's a climbing wall in Riverside Park somewhere along where it goes past 'Seoul Forest'.

There's another one next to Sookmyung Women's university subway station.

Sorry, that's all I know...don't know how you'd go about joining a club or which wall is best, or where good cliffs are.

Dont worry there crystal, there's plenty of train-wreck stories on Dave's to keep you happy. Smile

Thanks to the other posters too for the advice. I think I'll just start visiting various walls in order to see what's good.

For other climbers interested in climbing in Korea, I'm going to use the resources of www.koreaontherocks.com to find locations and reviews, and also www.rockclimbing.com for additional sites/info.

Thanks all.

there are plenty of mountains all over. i'm sure you could find a million places to freeclimb if you just went off the trails and went exploring for an afternoon

That's true enough although I'm neither good enough, nor crazy enough to freeclimb.

To see someone who is though, why not watch Dan Osman climb 400ft in 4 minutes with no ropes or sanity
HERE.

Clearly bouldering is the option you're probably getting at (sorry to be facetious), although personally I just want an indoor gym near me in Seoul that I can go to between classes (I'm a split shifter with free-time during the day).

anyhow, watch that video - It's amazing!
