Still can't decide if it was great or rubbish.

So Libby is working for Jim from Neighbours, daughter discovers plot and find fathers documents linking Desmond's dissapearance to a magnetic anomaly detected at the time he went off radar. She hires two Brazillians to sit in a hut with an electromagnetic anomaly detector and wait and see if it happens again, it does, when the plane goes down. When they dont push the button and it goes off for a 3rd time, they mamange to pinpoint it's location.

Expect to see Jim from Neighbours on the Island next season, chasing the dog, or alternatively catch re-runs of Neighbours on UK TV gold where a naughty Bouncer has done a tiddle on a fence and is being chased down Ramsey St by an angry Jim.

whatever happens, Jim is the evil mastermind and I'm hoping Harold appears in an apron at some point to clarify a mix up over change.

Yes. I have a premonition that loyal fans are going to be rolling their eyes when certain key aspects of the island finally come to light.

This means that the plane, as it was crashing toward the magnet, then got repelled by the magnet and slowed down, enough so that the impact didn't kill the people in the plane.

Comprendez amigo?

Nope. Doesn't work. If that were the case, then living in the hatch would be a suicidal game of cutlery dodgeball. On to the next theory...

Notice that everyone on the island seems to have or have done something that would make someone get rid of them? Hurley's family would have a great deal to win if he died, Sun's dad (or her 'English teacher') would have reason to get rid of her and her husband, etc. Could it be that the island is a place where rich people send their dirty laundry?

I'm just hoping that some day they can explain how/why the shark from Season 2, Episode 1 had a dharma sticker on its tail.....

It's like they're trying to make it less mystical this season, but they've got a lot to answer for.....the smoke, the monster who put the pilot in the tree and could knock down trees, the numbers, the shark....

I doubt that any of these things have rational explanations...

And, if Desmond really did cause the accident, then that means it's just a fluke coincidence that their plane crashed, which means that they shouldn't be there, which means that everything in the flashbacks are just coincidence....

Didn't the producers say they don't actually have a plan for the series? It's not some B5 planned story arc...

Damon Lindelof has been quoted as being a huge fan of Stephen King's Dark Tower stories, and saying they influence the story of Lost.

Certainly the stations on the island resemble parts of the DT series, but what has me really wondering is Walt's appearing in 2 places at the same time, and the title of the Lost spin-off novel, Bad Twin, both of which call to mind King's (w/Peter Straub) The Talisman (DT-related) and the concept of "twinners".

Getting back to the DT novels, I have a hunch that, in Lost continuity, there are other worlds than these.

If the two series are similar in that regard, I just hope the ending of Lost isn't as disappointing as The Dark Tower's.

Semi-related: am I the only one who has a feeling that Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia and other dead characters (Ethan!) will return...and not in flashbacks?

Michael developed into the most irritating character. "THEY GOT MY BOY. THEY GOT MY BOY." Yeah yeah. We know. Now shut up and shave, mountain man.

The dude who plays Michale has always been weak-he made Mercutio look like a pissy

I've actually read a couple articles where they've said that they've had some storylines planned from the beginning... Minor alterations have been made along the way, but they are basically still telling their originally planned story...

My prediction is that Jin will start to learn more and more English! Who can't forget such loveable phrases as "others," "gun," and "there!"

He will be an inspiration to all Koreans to learn English!! Very Happy

I'm surprised that he isn't fluent yet after 2 months!! With all that free time from fishing what else is there to do?

It seemed to me that if they would have just turned the power off in the hatch, that the counter would have stopped....
non?

and yes, I also think that michael is annoying....I also don't think much of that actor.

I find it funny when he tries to say English words he's recently learned, his pronunciation is perfect.

Well, the actor's first language is English. Apparently his Korean doesn't sound too great.

Pretty sure that's the point MMT is making.
