there's one in Itaewon couldn't tell you how to get there but it's around the main area upstairs from a Thai restaurant and across the street from a French restaurant I didn't get a chance to eat there cause everyone wanted to eat at the Thai place but it looked nice |

Any Asia mart, or the supermarkets in Itaewon carry the basic line of Indo foods. We usually get the packet curry mixes, Rendang, Kare etc, Krupuks (prawn crackers), Indomie (mie goreng flavour is the best IMHO) as well as all the odds and sods, bawang goreng (fried onion garnish) and various saus/sambal thingies. PM me if you want any more help. |

PS, oh yeah, there is one Indo restaurant in Itaewon, Bali, down the alley near 3 alleys pub. Its not great, a bit overpriced, but better than nothing. |

My Indonesian wife just arrived with me here and wants to eat Indonesian food whenever possible. She is unfortunately not crash hot about eating Korean food at the moment. |

There are a few:
1) Rendang - meat fried in chili and coconut oil
2) Sate - meat skewed with peanut sauce
3) Mie - noodles (boiled and friend)
4) Gulai - curry
5) Nasi goreng - fried rice
6) Sop buntut - oxtail soup (similar to Kalbi tang)
7) Gado gado - vegetables in peanut sauce
These are the common few. Many many more available. |

You forgot Ayam goreng/bakar. Can't go 10 metres in Jakarta without seeing one of those. Where is your wife from in Indo? Mine is from Jakarta/Bogor. |

gulai isn't as good as kare. opor ayam rocks. and sate by the dozen! i think my fav is soto ayam, but you have to go to exactly the right hole-in-the-wall in Mojokerto. |

I'm not really into the curries there, unless I'm going to one of the two good Padang joints I frequent when down in JKT. Better yet, Sulawesi or Sunda style seafood. I highly recommend Padse in Pejaten Barat. |
