leave? And the bad guys always stick around? This year at my elementary school, we have had about 10 great English speaking returnee type students leave, and not one low level student. Has anyone noticed this happening at their schools too, or am I the only lucky one? It sucks. |

My hagwon is in a small town where everyone wants to leave to take their kids to better schools. We have lost countless fabulous students for this reason. Especially as one or more children in a family near middle school age, the parents get much more concerned about their being at better public schools. Can't really blame them...but it is frustrating. Have yet to lose a unmotivated student that way. |

yup, happens here too. One of my students told me after she left that the bad students were holding her back. |

When I worked hogwan that was always the case - my favourite students were always disappearing and the ones I couldn't stand always stuck around.
At my middle / high school we lost a few of the best grade 3 MS students who went to a different HS, but for the most part I can count on my best students being around for years. |
