i generally try to not be all that negative about this place, but what a ghetto-ass park.

I've been there, too. It definitely seems a waste of space. The gardening is awful with exactly aligned trees and cyclists bother walking people.

Look on the bright side. Any park is better than no park, and better than landfill, plus it can only get better as time goes by. The worst thing is the two main roads running right through the middle of it.

but what about the mangy-ass deer?

"oohh.. look! wild nature! real indigenous WILDLIFE!"

so f'in wack. some city planners need to be slapped.

one thing i did after visiting seoul forest on sunday is walk across gangbyeon expressway and along the north side of the river near oksu station. it was nice. the air smelled fresh. it was about 20 minutes of lovely green solitude. i recommend it.
