I greet the fish and my classroom when first coming in the morning, but never when I come back in the afternoon.

I sleep with a reindeer. Sometimes I watch tv with a snowman. They're very cute. My husband is jealous of the reindeer, so sometimes he pummels him or throws him out of bed, much to my chagrin.

Strange, but not unusual. I used to have a teddy bear, whom my brother would frequently kidnap. One day I gave up and told him he could keep her. He immediately lost interest.

I have a weird mini twitch that I get once every couple days. Out of the blue...no reason... like a mini electric shock. Apparently everyone in my family has it...

haven't figured that one out yet...

Lizara, have you seen "Matchstick Men"? You remind me a bit of Nick Cage. He did stuff like open/close the door 3 times, and each time he would count aloud as he did it. Sometimes in English, sometimes in Spanish. Every night he ate a can of tuna for dinner. Only tuna. That's all he kept in his kitchen.

I have another quirk. I blame my mother. She always made us pee right before bed or right before leaving the house to go somewhere. I always peed whether I needed to or not. I'm the same way now. I HAVE to pee before leaving the house, a restaurant, etc. Also, I can't get to sleep if there is anything in my bladder. It's really annoying.

Chimpum Callao, my reindeer is real, too. That's why I almost cry when my husband throws him across the room. =( I'm convinced that someday, like in "The Velveteen Rabbit", he will become a living, breathing reindeer.^^

Matchstick Men made me crazy. I don't think Nick Cage was portraying anything resembling Asperger's. Maybe a cheap OCD rendition-- I don't know what he was trying for. Anyway, people with Asperger's don't really resemble people with OCD when you get right down to it, but I guess some of their coping mechanisms and "typical behaviour" looks the same. Read up! It's fascinating stuff.

Sometimes when people are staring at me, I get a little edgy, so I yawn. I think I picked up that behavior from living with dogs....

Yeah, Asperger's and autism are fairly different from OCD. OCD is all about the compulsions, like having to check fifty times to make sure you really did turn off your oven, whereas for autistic people I think having these weird routines just makes it easier to deal with the world. It's not really a primary symptom and some people have more or fewer quirks that can be more or less important to them. I wouldn't open and close a door three times while counting because that makes no sense to me and I find it hard to do anything if I can't understand why I'm doing it.

i forgot my biggest one...

pictures of people, especially formal portraits (like sears) and ESPECIALLY if they are unnatractive make me REALLY want to cry. Everytime i see someone in one of those cheesy shots smiling i always picture them being self-conscious and getting ready for the camera beforehand and trying to look nice and for some reason, it breaks my heart.
if i keep writing about it ill tear up...its just so heartbreaking!!!

ps: the monkey is too cute!! OMG ill post a picture of my larry. periwinkle, i wanna see the reindeer.

I know all the words to Horst Wessel Lied.

I've got a thing for anthems and political songs.

It's quite sad really.

You forgot the "ged", but I'm curious: what did you use -- roofies? Xanax?
