I am a 27 year old white male, with a BA in journalism (minor in English lit) from an American university and app. 3 years teaching experience in Madrid. I am just beginning the process of looking for a job in Korea. However, I haven't had much luck finding offers in Busan which is where I want to work. Anyway, if anyone here can give me some advice I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks in advance.

Ciao for now,
Brent

Very Happy

Try http://www.pusanweb.com . That is a website devoted to jobs and life in Busan. Also, throw your resume out to every board and recruiter you can find saying "Busan only!", you might catch something.[/url]

Well, from what I've read Busan sounds like a really cool city. Also, a woman I met in Madrid (she was born in Korea and moved to Austin, TX when she was 13) has a bunch of family in Busan.

Thanks for the website. I'll give it a try.

Is it actually stated in the contract that you get August and January off, or does it say the standard 14 days and it's up to the individual school to give you more?

Yep.. on your online job searches.. just put the word 'Busan' in the search engine.. Cool

Madrid? Very cool. I spent most of 2004 near Valencia in Spain. I was living between Valencia and Barcelona on the Meditteranean coast.

Busan is A LOT different however. But at least it has a beach, coastline, mountains, etc. so its still good!

Maybe khyber was referring to the hiring of teachers for the fall semester where the positions will most likely start in late August?

Application deadline is soon:
