I have a student who is participating in this contest and she wants advice on how to prepare. Apparently the contest is in some kind of debate format. Has anyone encountered this contest and know what it's all about? I'd love to be able to give my student a little guidance.

Thanks!

Does anyone know anything about the contest? I'd really appreciate just a few words about what format the debates take, whether the topics are current events or what, and whether the students work in teams or individually.

Thank you!
