I love my wife, but I want France to win by a considerable margin. I've been a fan of the French team before she was even born (no, she's just a few years younger than me). Allez les Bleus!

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Which way did you vote in the poll?

I will give you my full unbiased opinion! Korean will get nowhere in this year's FIFA World Cup. They don't have the advantage of being the host nation like they did in 2002. Korea is ranked in the middle of the pack for a good reason. Their defense players could struggle against top offensive sides. Also, the team is young and doesn't have a lot of experience. France, without questions, defeat South Korea. France had world-class strikers and midfielders that makes France a formidable offensive threat. France will expose the weakness of Koreas defense. Without question, Korea should hand Togo a loss. I'm going out on a limb, and predicting that Korea will also loose to Switzerland. With two losses they may not make it into the round of 16.

it's important not to underestimate France's ability to implode

i look forward to Korea at least tying this game
(though I expect Switzerland to win against K)

I disagree.

Fifa ranking is bullshit. Mexico 4th? USA 5th? I consider Korea better than many of the better ranked teams like Colombia, Costa Rica, Tunisia, Japan, Greece etc.

The team actually has many veterans and experienced players that have played in the '98, '02 and even '94 World Cups. Just to list a few, Lee Woon Jae, Choi Jin Cheul, Ahn Jung-Hwan, Lee Young-Pyo, Kim Nam-Il etc.

Defense is a problem but I'm confident in Lee Eul Yong, Kim Nam Il and Choi Jin Cheul to shut down the strikers. What i'm worried about are the strikers, they can't finish for shit. If you've seen some of the friendlies(excluding Norway+Senegal), they hold most of the possession but can't score more than one goal.

Togo - win
Swiss - draw
France - lose/draw

Round of 16 on goal differential

Ah. I should have put another option in for you: you don't want to see Korea win, but you do want to see France lose. Completely understandable.

Funny poll. How about an option for 'I'd rather watch paint dry', or at least a good basketball or hockey game. Laughing
