This is probably the last big bash (read need a ball gown) for me in Seoul. The British Association put on their annual Queens Birthday Ball.Usually this place is full of corprate high-flyers, diplomats and their wives. But this year there were a lot of english teachers there as well.

Hot
The men. But I'm always partial to man in a tux or dress mess.

Finally winning something on the raffle. I got a free manicure and haircut at Toni and Guy.

Low heels. I can actually walk today.

Dessert

The white wine they were serving. Damn that stuff went down like water.

Not
The bar not allowing us take bottles of booze back to our tables. Open Bar I think not.

Following from that, over attentive bar staff. One minute your drink is there, the next they've whisked it away.

Where the hell was my Lamb? Duck is nice and all, but it's all about the lamb.

Weird grass things...

oh and sneaky photographers stealing my camera and sneaking up on me.

My first thought seeing the Grand Hyatt ballroom all decked out again: Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

My second thought about this ball being the first one I've missed in 5 years:

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

I almost got a plane for 20 hours....

What was the theme this year? (they've gotta do James Bond!!)

Same Chanel-for-the-ladies/bottle of scotch for the men again?
