Are these only needed for US applicants?
I was looking on the Saudi board and they only needed transcripts if you are from the US.
All positions in Korea have asked for transcripts but do I need them if im from the UK??
Thanks |

Yes, you need them. Everyone here needs them. In addition, they need to be sealed. You will also need a certified copy of your diploma. |

RIGHT I'M GETTING ANNOYED WITH THIS NOW....
I contacted the Korean Embassy who told me that they did certify degrees for 1.20 each but I must first get it certified by the Chamber of Commerce!
I contacted the Chamber of Commerce in London who stated they could do one copy for 30.00 if I came down, I explained I live over 100 miles away and she said contact the chamber of commerce in my home town..
So i did, they said they dont know what i am talking about they have never heard of certifying degrees and have nothing to do with education, call my university!!!
I CAN SEE A BOOK BEING PASSED AROUND HERE AND ITS ANNOYING ANOTHER WEEK WASTED!!!!!!!!! |

This reminds me of my favorite saying. "To an American, 100 years is a long time. To an Englishman, 100 miles is a long way". Ok, so this didn't help.
Go to the Korean embassy in London and get a bunch of copies of your diploma certified. Get a bunch of transcripts sealed & stamped. Half of your worries (with missing diplomas or transcripts) will be over.

Instead of "certifying" your degree, try "notarizing" it. That may get you further. This mut be done at a Korean embassy or consulate by the way. |

when huffdaddy says a bunch, he (or she i suppose) means A BUNCH. like ten copies. you will be surprised how fast you can use them up.... two or there in a single job search. I brought ten, I'm down to 4. |

Huh? I have only gone through the job search process once before, but everyone wanted signed sealed transcripts.... maybe we're talking about a different kind of transcript? I feel a little ashamed, hijacking this thread like this... |

He's joking. The OP wrote trtanscript, which looks like tartanscript, not transcript. Because he is not Scottish, he doesn't need a 'tartanscript'. Jinju needs transcripts just like everybody else, but he was joking about the other thing because of the horrendous spelling by some people in this thread.
Am I right Jinju? |

What the Korean Embassy in London told you is correct. Could you take say a day off work and go down to the Chamber of Commerce in London?
I'm from UK too and that is what I had to do. The very cheap buses are really useful
