flakfizer,
which city are you in? we have to mobilize before thursday
and
hogwonguy,
that's big of you...by the way, i must have been the only MAVS fan in Dallas (I was still home at the time) not celebrating after the MAVS went up 3-1.
The teams were so evenly matched; the level of play so high. World class. What a memorable series. (Of course, I'm still bitter at Steve Kerr.)
Come on MAVS! Hop on the wagon, hogwonguy. There's an open seat right there. Grab it and enjoy the ride.
Here we go.
LET'S GO MAVERICKS!!!!!!!!! |

Explain! Shaq is possibly the most likeable player the game has seen. As I wrote earlier this season, there are those who like Shaq, and those who are going to Hell.
And how can you like Dirk? His game is smooth, no doubt, but that sneer! That Hasselhoff appreciation!
And don't get me started on Jason Terry and his premature auditions to replace Stephen A Smith/headline Wrestlemania.
C'mon! There's nothing fun about the Mavs...unless you're a Republican.
Heat in 5

Hmmm....... I thought the Heat would be favored but I managed to get decent odds on them $152 for $100 bet ie I get back $252 if they win. If you bet Dallas you need to bet $162 to win $100 ie you get back $262 total. Just for the hell of it I even made a small bet on the Heat in 4 and got 19 to 1. I'm surprised the Mavs are that big a favorite. |

Shaq is the greatest basketball player of all-time of the history of the world.
That's a shot at Walton.
But I happen to love Shaq. He's got a great personality, a likeable sense of humor. And he just loves to have a good time.
I love Shaq. And I like Wade. Great player. Unfortunately, the Heat is coached by the anti-Christ, and the supporting cast is about as unlikeable as it gets.
Walker - castaway.
Williams - castaway.
Payton - has-been. How can he pick a fight with Wade? What an idiot.
But 'Zo is great. Gotta love the 'Zo.
Good luck to you, kind sirs. You may need it.
Go Mavs
p.s. if you don't understand why the Mavs are heavily favored, you haven't been watching the playoffs. |

Heh. Should us Raptors fans be worried about Ben Wallace and his awful free throw shooting percentage?

Surely you've heard that Toronto is a possible destination for Big Ben should the Pistons not wish to re-sign him. And seeing as how he sucks at shooting free throws, and has no offense, is it worth giving him a big contract, especially in light of how poorly he played in the playoffs this year?

I'm sure some team, in some country will find room for a 4-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Free throw percentage notwithstanding. |

Yes Shaq is likeable to some. Here is a list of those who like him.
1. Everyone who wants to see the jump shot disappear from basketball.
2. Everyone who thinks free throws are unimportant.
3. Everyone who thinks seeing a 7-footer dunk is amazing.
4. Bill Walton
5. Everyone who thinks clumsy traveling violations should be overlooked.
6. Everyone who thought "Kazaam" was riveting.
7. Everyone is favor of changing "offensive foul" to "powering his way."
8. Whatever restaurant he walks into (not including buffets).
9. Has-been losers desperate for a ring. You know who I mean.
10. Everyone who would cheer for Goliath against David. (I believe we call those people, "Philistines.") |

Touche.
Then again, why isn't Dampier one of the L's premier centers?
Because he's not Shaq, that's why.
PS - I heard DJ Mbenga was so ascairt of the thought of guarding Shaq that he fruitlessly tried to become a concessions seller.
