So I posted a while back that you can't get your F4 anymore if you're a male between the ages of 17-34...well it's not true. The lady at the embassy was confused or something b/c you can still qualify for an F4 regardless of gender. She had said the rule changed last December but there was no such change. |

It doesn't matter if you can get the F-4 or not. What does matter is that the potential for being drafted by the Korean army remains if your name is on the family register. |

I'm not on the family registry. What is funny is that if you call the different consulates they have different responses for what is needed for an F4. I talked to 3 different people from the Atlanta consulate alone and they all said different things. It's pretty frustrating. |
