I'm really getting concerned here, because I have some chanels on my cable that are scrambled and I'm worried that live broadcasts might be on them, as they show football often.

I would really appreciate if somebody could let me know which networks will be showing the games live.

MBC, KBS, SBS all showing live games.

Order up some BBQ chicken and it comes with the complete TV schedule, not just for Korea, all games that will be showed here.

Dude, it's just country names. Hopefully if you've been here since Sept you can read enough to find "Ing-u-land" "I-ta-lia-a" "Mi-guk" etc.

Yeah, I can read basic Korean, but I don't subscribe to Korean newspapers, I don't watch Korean television chanels for the most part, and all I am looking for is a TV schedule of game times and channels the games will be on. I want to see every game, and not just casually channel surf for the games.

Well, I don't like BBQ chicken so I won't order any, but why do you suggest this? Is the schedule on the BBQ chicken box/bag? Does it have the schedule for all MBC, KBS, and SBS or just one of them? Do you know of a website that has the schedule for people who don't like BBQ chicken?

With my last order of BBQ I got a 20-30 page book on the World Cup. Had rosters for every team, game times for every game, and showed the games Korean TV would be showing. Sorry, don't know of any website. Perhaps just walk into a BBQ place and ask for the book?

Given the plethora of BBQ places, any particular one? Or do I go into all of the 60 BBQ places on my block?

this is it, right? i don't know how the world cup works, but it appears to be the schedule. I find it inconceivable that you would be able to miss it on TV. some channels gonna have it.

Yup, that's it, and according to the schedule, each live game is going to be on 3 different channels (MBC, SBS, and either KBS1 or KBS2). Replays (at various times) will be on ESPN Sports, SBS Sports, and KBS Sports.

I wouldn't worry about missing anything, even when Korea goes out. We'll see everything.

If you can read basic Korean, go the the websites online --

www.mbcespn.com
www.sbs.co.kr
www.kbs.co.kr

Navigate your way to the schedule, and you will see not only what World Cup games are on, but what else will be shown on the channel that day!

The sites are easy to navigate - just as long as you can read basic Korean.

I'm not into this game, just seeing if I can get back in 'soccer-mode'..
I mean 'football-mode."

BUT It's Sweden vs. Trinidad. On 3 channels simultaneously. All three
have a different Koreanisation/Hangulisation of Trinidad: Trini, Trinida, Trinidaduh.

Anyone know why? (not a trick question. I'm curious.)

EDIT: Watching the next game, it appears to be no big mystery.
Just whether the producers are going for visibility or thoroughness with abbreviating or not.
