I'm suprised no one has mentioned how damn annoying the female host of this show is. She always has to expand on the answer to every question with the words "and of course..." or "actually...". I made a running tally last week of how many times she used these expressions and stopped counting after seventy. I sort of have a quiz show fixation, so I watch The Contenders as much as possible, but I really wish they would jettison the female host. I agree that the female host of quiz champion is far more "qualified" for the job. And the male host of quiz champion has a good sense of humor. But as far as the male host on The contenders goes: you guys should lay off. He's the only one injecting any comedy (unintentional or otherwise) into this lame-ass show.

I agree the female host is very condescending and patronizing, acting as if she knows all the answers when she has the freakin answers written on her cards!!! I am a fan of quiz shows as well... I like Jeopardy alot, but can't stand the arrogance of Alex Trebek...Where do they find these game show hosts anyway???

they actually want foreign people. it just that none ever come. there was the time the pakistani duo came on the show and made a 10 minute speech...
i remember the producers basically begging me to get my western friends to come on the show to increase the standard of english.
they give you about 70,000 appearance fee for each episode on top of the prizes. the only annoying thing is that they record on wednesdays.
you don't need a partner, it really is about being a one man/woman show.

I finally watched that show "The Contenders". I would love to go on that show and wipe the smirk off that condescending female host. She is incredibly annoying. At least the guy who comes out and reads the cards provides a bit of comic relief.

I know the host of the show the guy, we used to work together, he is a cool guy , but you're right that woman is WHACKED!
dont know why they keep her, acually I was talking to the guy host the other month and he was telling me he and the woman dont really get along either...

that show is alright, come on people get on that show and kick ass!!

yeah.... a little gay~ but hell, it was all that came up~ hehehe.

we went on the show knowing we couldn't go beyond round 1 (because there is no way my employer would let me have a day off)...

i mean we knew we had to lose... but not this much... i think it was the most in arirang history...

we lost 90 - 620

LOL...
