Clear hand ball in the box with no call.

Then a Swiss player takes a flop in extra minutes, and France gets called for the foul.

France had so many looks it wasn't even funny, but they just couldn't get it in the net.

Relatively clean match, aside from a few crap calls.

Both teams looked beatable and highly vulnerable.

After that match, I wonder if Korea just might stand a chance.

Namaste.

Actually I wonder if it hurts Korea's chances. Switzerland got an unexpected point out of the match, one that Korea will have to make up somewhere. Togo looked like they could still step it up and possibly tie with the Swiss which would be very helpful.

incidental contact

the player didn't raise his hand to the ball.... the ball simply hit his unmoving hand

the swiss had the best chance to score... two actually stunning opportunities

the game could have gone either way.... tie apt

Yeah - that chance in the first half should've been a goal for Switzerland. Dunno wtf happened.

Henry was on valium.

On a French WC forum they were railing that France was intentionally throwing the game.

I dunno about all that, but France certainly looked sluggish in the second half.

Namaste.

well...the draw works for both of them, for they should be able to crush both Korea (particularly if they play like they did first half) and Togo. Then it'll just come down to points between them. Both teams were strictly defensive all game...

That would be funny if one team starts using reality-TV rules to try and influence which team advances.

France: "Well, Switzerland is a threat to us, so we'll put our balls to the fire and beat them by as many points as we can. Togo should be easier to beat, so we'll let them off easy. That way we'll advance with Togo and we'll take care of them in the top 8 no problem."

It doesn't look good for Korea if Switzerland is capable of stopping Henry and Zidane...or maybe it doesn't look good for France.

Worst possible result for the Pilsung Army I reckon. That means when France beat them (and they will) and Switz beats Togo (and they will) Korea will HAVE TO beat Switz the last match to progress (which they won't).

Hmm...that sounds about right, but i just think Korea can beat switzerland. They're starting to get their confidence/momentum back.
