But as someone said earlier: if they play like that against the European squads...

France are hogwash.

They are a tired old side.

They'd struggle if the rest of the group weren't so poor.

I'm quietly confident korea will progress to the next round. Where they will be comfortably beaten by Ukraine.

As opposed to England, which clearly dominated their match against Paraguay, eh?

France may be "tired" and "old", but I'd pick France over England any day, out of pure principle.

Namaste.

ChunSoo is my LEAST favourite player.. we really are on the opposite end of the spectrum in regards to athletes we support...

Yeah, Korea!

Great night out because of Korea winning!

I'll be supporting them throughout.

The US couldn't take down a Cessna with a Stinger missile.

I watched the match at the stadium in my town. I was hoping Korea would win...until they started showing the lineup a few minutes before the game. Some of @holes were flashing laser pointers on the faces of the African players. It continued when they scored. It was sickening.

I;ve heard he is kind of a deeck and completely trashed the 2002 team in his "book".
this is second/third hand knowledge though.

I don't think Korea played that well. Frankly, the first half, they looked like a bunch of 50 year olds. Someone around me had mentioned Advocaat said that, because of the heat, they are going to be a little bit finicky with rushes and creating too many opportunities: That was a foreboding of a less than inspiring first half. The togolese (right?) were quite good in the first half and really lost steam as DHMG picked it up in the second. They certainly have some able bodies on that team, no doubt.

All three goals were really nice. The Togo one especially i figure. Lee chun so's could have been stoped had the goalie been a bit more on top.

My woman was complaining about Lee Chunsoo also. She says he apparently thinks he'll be the next Beckham.

Did anyone notice at the end when the Togo players started taking off their shirts to trade with the Korean players, but the Koreans didn't notice at first? I was laughing and wondering if they'd be rude about it and not trade shirts back.

Where was that? I was at the stadium in Seongnam and I was relieved to see a generally good vibe there. Always fearing the worst...

I was shocked that I haven't YET heard about the flub of them playing the Korean anthem twice before they realized and finally put on the togo anthem.
Didn't anyone else think that was really freakin' lame?

2-1 for Korea

He was named the "Korean Beckham" by the press when he signed to Real Sociedad in Spain after the 2002 WC, but then he turned out to be a huge failure

What was the deal with the one guy hiking up his shirt to reveal the letter Y? Did he go to Yonsei? He did that after he got that little free kick thing at the big net thing after that one guy got some colored deck of yellow and red playing cards flashed at him...
