Title of the thread seems obvious.
I think i really REALLY wanna see the Brazil Australia game: Lucky me, it's on at 10.
I truly have no idea what to expect, I just look forward to it.
Also, I think the Netherland Argentina game will be a GOOOOOOD one! |

| Yeah, both those you mentioned, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, worry about Australia vs Croatia first. Otherwise, Czech vs Italy will be a cracker, and I personally can't wait for England Sweden. |

If you think Australia has a hope in hell of not losing to Brazil by at least three goals then you are either Aussie or on crack or probably both.
As for the Netherlands-Argentina game, yeah, it's pencilled in as THE must-see game of the first round. |

Hmmmm, never said anyting of the sort, just said I'd like to watch it. Still, with fullbacks like Roberto Carlos they will not be affording them the width. You'd do better than to show your ignorance of the game by assuming such things. Still, you are from a hockey country, right? |

I played league soccer for seven years. Many Canadians do. But it's treated as a child's game and so we give up playing it when we grow up. (that's true, not an insult.)
Been watching World Cup games since Argentina and Kemps beat the Netherlands in 1978.
What makes you so much more knowledgeable about the game? Disagreement doesn't indicate "ignorance", at least not in the way intended.
"If" statements are just that. The original post implied (but didn't state) that Australia had a chance against Brazil. Regardless of intentions. Was responding to that. Answer was a bit flippant, admittedly, but wasn't at all overstated, was it? Three goals minimum. Bet on it. |

Agree with the holland-argie game being a nice looking fixture, b ut both could have qualified by then which will put a dampener on things. I reckon Poland-Germany will be a fiesty one. Don't think the Poles are crazy about the Germans for some reason! |

Mate,
Got home fired up last night having watched the game with quite a few bevvies. Just kind of sick of people putting the Aussies down right now, was writing with my heart last night. I shouldn't have called you ignorant, seems you know a lot about the game. Sorry about that. |

| Anything with Australia -- they don't dive and they make soccer look like a man's game. |

when I talk about the mother land, I don't spell with an "s". To be fair, I should have spelled it with a d instead of th (nederland) to make it clearer.
agree with the beav.

I'm a huge Azzuri fan, so I'm watching E and F games.
Italy is in E and depending on where it finishes, it may have to play Brazil in the next round.
I'm hoping that it will be Italy v Australia so as to make it that much easier for Italy to get to the quarter finals. |
