Just read the news that Gyorgy Ligeti died yesterday.
Definately one of the pioneering composers of the last century. He wrote some amazingly powerful and innovative music.

Why'd he lend his music to eyes wide shut?The music was meant to echo the effect of Uncle Joe.Hated it in the movie.Kubrick used his music so well in 2001.I guess both were tottering by the latter movie.
Great,intellectually interesting composer. |
