I'm quietly confident korea will progress to the next round. Where they will be comfortably beaten by Ukraine. |
I agree...
Togo were good. if they hadn't gone a man down, they would've won i think.
next up- win over switzerland and lose to France..
Then get knocked out rapidly in round 2. |

Actually....
More realistically, Togo will lose to Switzerland. Possibly by 2 goals as they will be missing one of their best players (from the red card in the Korean match).
France should draw or beat Korea. Korea's defence is weak and though France didn't look great against the Swiss, I think they be able to beat Korea.
Assuming France then beats Togo which is likely that leaves Korea in an awkward position. If the Swiss beat Togo by 2 goals, Korea would have to beat Switzerland. They are ranked very close to each other (35-29) so I would say Korea would be lucky to get to the second round.
Even if Korea advances in second spot I believe they will likely run into Spain. Spain will be looking for revenge (Total BS loss in 2002) and after their destruction of Ukraine tonight (4-0) I think it looks rather bleak for Daehanminguk.
Of course I could be totally wrong if Togo pulls an upset. We shall see anyway... |
