Well, I searched through the forums, but couldn't find a really good answer on this, so made a new thread.

Does anyone have any experience with bringing loose tobacco (in this case pipe tobacco,) with them over to Korea? I'm mostly worried about customs thinking it's weed instead of just plain tobacco and being in a crappy situation. Since it and my pipe were recent gifts, I don't want to just get rid of it, plus I hear pipe tobacco is not the easiest thing to find in Korea. Any info or experience is appreciated.

I've brought rollies in no worries over the 3 years I have been here and plenty of friends have too. I'd try and keep it sealed in its original packaging if you are that worried.

My brother dips. He had no problem getting through customs, and he brought like 10 tins w/him, 'cuz I told him he wouldn't be able to find snuff easily. He didn't even have a problem on the airplane, but your average person most likely assumed his soda can in fact contained soda. Um, not. Twisted Evil

You know, in my experience, customs at Incheon rarely stops foreigners. Hell, I've brought tiny jasmine (?) wreaths back from Thailand, as well as fresh green beans and bing cherries from home. I know someone that just brought back 10 bottles of vodka from Moscow. Cool

I know. He's former military, as well as a former 18 wheel trucker, and he's been an intake sargeant at a corrections facility in northern Arizona for years now. So there ya go.... ^^

Funny, the first time i saw him carrying around his ubiqitous (sp?) soda can, I asked him for a sip... Crying or Very sad

You'll probably have a lot less trouble if it's in a sealed bag.
