Ah, yeah, ... gidday!
So me and the lads is having a barbi Sat'day night, and upon having agreed to provide dessert, I had a wee brainwave that it was about time we showed off a great New Zealand pavlova, aye?!
Problem is, despite the proximity of a fair supply of cows, accessing genuine real fresh cream remains a challenge.
Anyone know where I can get some real, really fresh, real cream, or what them Canadian-types call 'whipping cream'...?
I know Costco is on the other side of town, but surely there's a supplier somewhere around, providing to the coffee shops or ice-cream factories...?
And anyway, actually I don't know whether they do have a supply of the really truely freshly made un-processed runny whippable variety. Do you know if they do?
Good on yas!
NB Information leading to the securement and/or procurement of a fair-dinkum supply of really real really fresh real cream will be rewarded by the delivery of one home-baked genuine New Zealand pavlova. |

Kia ora mate,
I don't know about Daegu, but when I visit Seoul, I can pick it up at Lotte Mart, Carrefour or E-Mart. Actually it's a bummer but my town's E-Mart doesn't sell fresh cream, just the "whipping cream" that I suspect has a load of additives and sugar and crap that makes it pearly white and taste like plastic. Oh yeah, I've seen Dairy Whip cans too, but no fresh cream to be found in my town.
So anyway, the fresh cream is produced by Denmark brand (bright red carton) and Seoul Milk:
...and I would bloody love to scoff a homemade pav!! Just make sure nice and crusty, please! Good luck! |

I saw whipping cream (a few kinds) at Carrefour here in Daegu a couple of weeks ago.
On a side note, I found real feta cheese at Walmart last week, not the oil-sodden trash I've had the misfortune to buy at Dong-A. |
