I've tried the search engine and the FAQ is FAR TOO BIG of a list so I'm posting this maybe old question.

Does anyone here who is married have life insurance and/or health insurance purchased in Korea?

By health insurance I mean the kind that pays for operations etc for things such a cancer.

My wife says she can get it all no prob. with Kyobo or Samsung but they don't/won't insure forigners.

So who has it ?
What is the cost per month?
What is the coverage you have?

Thanks alot for any info you can give me.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but I know that Kyobo insures foreigners. I have a joint policy with my spouse--life insurance policies and another cancer policy as well. Most Korean companies have that as a separate kind of insurance. I'm not sure how much we pay per month, but just wanted to let you know that they will insure foreigners.

Don't go with a Korean company.

Use AIG or Prudential - i.e. a big international company with a Korean presense.

We have insurances with AIG. They definitely insure foreigners.
